My concept was to redesign the 2015-2016 UN Women Annual Report to showcase real women, unedited, through my photography so that readers would have a face to connect the data to. I feel that black and white photography can have an intimate effect on a portrait and highlight the unique details of a person. The paint strokes bring back the vibrancy of women, and allow a flowing theme of movement– particularly forward movement. The layout plays with type, photography and illustration while keeping communication and data at the forefront.
This is a proposed project with information pulled from UN Women.
