Post Cards, Visual Communications, Illustration,
The challenge was to appeal to an adventurer that still has an appreciation for print and the intimacy of a hand written note. The concept was inspired by finding words of many languages that are uncommon, untranslatable and seemingly lost and to illustrate them in a way that was universally understood. The outcome is a series of 7 postcards with words and explained definitions for 7 different countries. The loose illustrative style is a nod to the hand-written quirkiness of postcards themselves as well of the whirlwind feeling of jotting down your adventures in only a few lines. The beauty of this project is meaningful to me in the power of art and how it surpasses language barriers in it’s universal tongue.
This is a student project with proposed information.
