The concept truly took form when the owner, Randi Karson, explained how her 4 foundation Arabians were the inspiration behind her starting her own business. The Arabian breed is one with rich history in it’s foundation herds and I knew her story would resonate with others who were passionate about this equestrian breed. The logo is based off of the 4 horses that inspired her path so I incorporated elements of 4 to pay homage to them. The outcome is a brand story that stays true to the history of HHA and the quality that is produced there. The colour palette is also indicative of the Arabians that are the basis of her breeding program. She chose these special horses because of their fiery charisma, represented with orange, as well as their gentle and loyal nature, represented with blue. The crest was created as a great way to display their logo over photos, which are very important to advertising their breeding stock, because of its readability, simplicity and it’s negative space. The icon of the horses head is modelled after recognizable Arabian traits. Though this detail may be overlooked by someone without specific insights into the breed, it will be appreciated by Arabian horse owners and draw them into High Horse Arabian LLC’s brand.
